Grain gradation of machine-made sand

The particle gradation of sand refers to the proportion of sand-sized particles. If it is sand of the same thickness, the gaps between them are larger; when two types of sand are matched, the gaps between them are reduced; the gaps between three types of sand are smaller. It can be seen that the porosity of sand depends on the degree of collocation of various particle sizes of sand. The well-graded sand not only saves cement, but also improves the density and strength of concrete and mortar.

Raw material for machine-made sand

The raw materials of machine-made sand are usually granite, basalt, river pebbles, cobblestone, andesite, rhyolite, diabase, diorite, sandstone, limestone and other varieties. The machine-made sand made of it is classified according to the type of rock, and there are differences in strength and use.

Grain type requirements of machine-made sand

Mine configuration requires fine particles of crushed materials. Generally speaking, needle-shaped materials enter the mill and are more likely to be ground. The requirements for building gravel are just the opposite, and there are strict restrictions on the proportion of needles and flakes. The main reason is that the cubic particles have edges and corners, and the edges and corners can play a role in locking the particles to each other. At the same time, cubic particles have stronger adhesion than needle-shaped particles and round particles, and occupy a larger surface area.
